Rutas del Románico. In the 10th century, the Kings of Pamplona established their court in Nájera and channelled the Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) through La Rioja. This was the starting point for the Romanesque culture to start flourishing in the region, leaving behind monasteries, hermitages, sculptures and bridges.
